Chapter 25-28: Jesus Dies and Conquers Death

Purpose of the Book:

1. Suggest to a Jewish audience that Jesus is a better Moses. To strengthen and encourage Jewish in their suffering and persecution

  • Moses was the author of the law and the Hebrew nation. Massive figure to the Jewish people.

  • Jesus is superseding any Jewish figure anyone can point to

  • He’s a fulfillment to all that came before Him

Message of the Book:

1. Jesus is King of the Universe - translates into every reality

2. Jesus rules and reigns over all things

  • Matthew is about Jesus’ power and dominance. There is no obstacle to great for Him
