The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;

fools despise wisdom and instruction.

  • If you want to get to know God. You have to understand your approach must be reverence, and learning… fool hates humbling himself. We’re always suppose to have that reverence that we do not know and God does.

Purpose of the Book:

1. To show the value of wisdom

2. To define and contract wisdom and foolishness

Message of the Book:

1. Wisdom is more important than any other natural virtue

3 Supernatural Virtue (draw us to the Lord)

  1. Faith

  2. Hope

  3. Love

4 Natural Virtue (chief of the natural virtue is wisdom)

  1. Courage

  2. Temperance

  3. Justice

  4. Wisdom - shows you how to apply justice, how to be courageous and justice

2. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge

  • It’s not street smart it’s thinking through things, applying the knowledge you have in the right way

  • It’s about being right… so right that God is righteous

3. Wisdom is rooting in eternity, not time

  • It’s applied temporarily but it’s rooted in eternity

  • If you apply principles in life you will succeed.

  • Wisdom speaks from eternal principals
