Chapter 1:17-2:10: God Rescues Jonah
Chapter 3: God Rescues Nineveh (Gentile City)

Purpose of the Book:
1. To show that God is gracious and patient with those He works through and saves
Jonah is Ninevah. God is trying to work mercy into Jonah as he is working mercy into Ninevah
God doesn’t have favorites… he can save anyone and is open wide. We can not be prejudiced on who God chooses to have mercy on.
